Registration deadlines for courses

The time window in which students can subscribe for modules and courses is called the "registration period". The date until which enrollment is possible is the "registration deadline". Students must register for courses and modules within these periods if they wish to participate in them in subsequent semesters. Registration after the respective enrollment period has expired is not possible. All enrollments must be made via the Campus Management System "HISinOne", unless otherwise specified. Video instructions on how to enroll in courses and modules can be found on ILIAS under "Informationen zum Studium".

Registration period for summer semester 2024

Bachelor of Science Biology

  • January 8 until March 3, 2024: Profile modules biology
    • A list of these elective modules can be found in the module guide
  • January 8 until March 11, 2024: Basic moduls biology
    • GM-06 | Botany & evolution of plants (1 lecture, 2 exercises) 
    • GM-14 | Microbiology, Immunbiology & Biochemistry (2 lectures, 1 exercise) 
    • GM-15 | Developmental biology (1 lecture, 1 exercise) 
    • GM-16 | Ecologie (2 lectures, 2 exercises) 
  • January 8 until July 19, 2024: Grundlagenmodule     
    • GM-09 | Organic Chemistry (practical)

Polyvalent dual-major bachelor's degree program biology

  • January 8 until March 4, 2024: Profile modules biology (if interested or to compensate for the chemistry module with second major in chemistry)

  • January 8 until March 11, 2024: Basic modules
    • LA-01 | Practical Chemistry and seminar (1 practical 1 seminar | both to be completed on the same weekday)

Master of Education Biology

  • January 8 until March 18, 2024: Subject science and subject didactics
    • ME-02 | Biodiversity & sustainability ("Ecological perspectives of sustainable development", "Field ecology" und "Education for sustainable development – Environmental education")
    • ME-03 | Biotechnology & molecular biology ("Tools and methods of molecular biology")

Registration period for winter semester 2023/24

Freshmen and -women | B.Sc. and Polyvalent dual-major bachelor's degree program Biology

  • October 10 to 12, 14 h: Basic Modules Biology
    • GM-01 | Cell biology (1 Lecture, 1 Exercise)
    • GM-02 | Genetics & molecular biology (1 Lecture, 2 Exercises)
  • as of October 10: Basic modules scientific principles
    • GM-04 | Physics I (Attendance of the lecture in HISinOne: Automatic admission to the ILIAS course on the following day. Registration for the exercise group in the ILIAS course.) ⇒ only B.Sc.
