Young Researchers Symposium on Plant Photobiology (2020)

Dear Photobiologists,

in the wake of the recent outbreak and pandemic spread of COVID-19, we faced the difficult decision how to proceed with the YRSPP 2020 in Freiburg. As Freiburg already had several cases and the neighboring regions in France are declared high-risk areas, we decided to POSTPONE our meeting.

We aim for having it in anyway this year in autumn. As the current situation is difficult to predict, we keep in touch with you and update you on the meeting.

We all have to do our part in limiting the spread of the virus in these times!

We hope that you all will have only minimal problems in getting your travel costs refunded.

If we can do anything to help here, get in touch with us.

Our thoughts are with those directly impacted by this situation.

Best wishes & hopefully seeing you in autumn,

the YRSPP organizing committee.

We warmly invite you to the YRSPP2020, the Young Researchers Symposium on Plant Photobiology which will take place in Freiburg from April15th until April18th in the wonderful city of Freiburg in Breisgau. We will be hosted by the Faculty of Biology in Collaboration with the Centre for Integrative Biological Signalling Studies (CIBSS) and the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS).
The YRSPP2020 is placed under the scientific agenda: “From (in)visible light to visible phenotypes” . The conference shall address the question on how photosynthetic organisms perceive light and integrate the light perception with environmental cues.
We want to bring together early-stage career scientists to nurture networking and exchange in a productive environment.

We are currently assembling a program, that will cover the whole spectrum of light plant physiology. To give you an impression what will await you, have a look at the preliminary time schedule.

Abstract submission is now open! (Extended Deadline: 29th February)

The conference will take place in the Institute for Biology II in Freiburg
The adress is
