From October 7, the central introductory events for first-semester students in the Master of Science Biology will take place in the Biology II/III, Schänzlestr. 1 from 13:00.

Monday, October 7, 2024

  • Get together  (Forecourt | Biologie II/III)
    from 13:00: Coffee, tea, cake and biscuits for all new Master's students (students council)
  • Official welcome  (GHS | Biology II/III)
    14:00: General information on the course of studies (Kirsch)
  • How do I register for courses?  (GHS | Biology II/III)
    14:30: Demonstration of the online platforms and the allocation of orientation modules in HISinOne (Kirsch)
  • Study contents | Part 1  (GHS | Biology II/III)
    15:00 h Major Biochemistry & Microbiology (Boll)
    16:00 h Major Genetics & Developmental Biology (Baumeister, Driever)
    17:00 h Major Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (Korb, Scherer-Lorenzen)

    13:30 - 14:30: Information event organised by the Studierendenwerk (SWFR) and the Blood Donation Service
  • Speed Dating in the Botanical Garden
    From 3 p.m. until approx. 4:30 p.m.: Meeting with students from the higher semesters for reports on their experiences in the orientation modules and focus modules and on student life in Freiburg itself (students council)
  • The Bear is Stomping
    from 11 p.m.: Party with the Bachelor freshmen at Othello (student council)
          

Thursday, October 10, 2024

  • Out into the countryside!
    1:00 p.m.: Joint walk to the Schlossberg | meeting point 1 p.m. at Biology II/III on the forecourt, departure 1:15 p.m. (students council)
  • Are we drinking one for the advanced?
    7:30 p.m.: Pub crawl - meeting point on the square of the old synagogue for group division. Start 8 pm, please be on time (students council).
