Report on the information event "Job profiles for biologists" (B3) on 8 June
On June 8th, the annual information event "Career Paths for Biologists" (B3), organized by the Biology Student Council, took place. During this event, seven speakers shared their professional journeys and showcased the diverse opportunities that a degree in biology can offer. Among them were four alumni of the University of Freiburg, who shared their experiences and insights.
The presented career fields covered a wide range of areas. These included positions in nature conservation administration and landscape planning, the production and quality assurance of laboratory technology, as well as in academia and university administration.
The lectures were attended by up to 50 students from different semesters. They had the opportunity to gather valuable information and inspiration for their own professional future and to ask direct questions to the speakers.
Meanwhile, the Biology Student Council provided coffee, cake, and cold drinks in the foyer.
We would like to thank all the speakers for sharing their experiences, the faculty for providing the rooms, and all the helping hands for making this great day possible.
